The assistant editorial team consists of three second-year students who have tirelessly worked to help the editorial team in various areas.

Sophie Schneider – Assistant Editor

Sophie is a communications student at Mount Royal University where she is working towards a major in public relations. She is also the Assistant Director of Communications with Calgary’s Southwest Hockey organization and helps to keep their families informed on the goings-on of the local hockey community. This past year Sophie ran the social media platforms for the Catholic Family Services’ annual fundraiser gala. Whether it is through the arts, education or supporting local businesses, Sophie is always looking for new ways to become involved in her community.

Megan Hessel – Assistant Editor

Megan Hessel is a second year Public Relations student at Mount Royal University. Although Megan is not a Calgary native, she moved from Red Deer, Alta., in 2016 to begin her degree and access new opportunities in the communications field. Megan spent most of her life in Red Deer, Alta., where she attended École Secondaire Notre Dame High School. During her time there, she became an avid member in a student led writing club, Radius Productions. In her senior year, the club published The Redefined Edge, where she was credited as the Managing Editor, a Section Editor, as well as one of the student writers.

Kylie Steedman – Assistant Editor

Kylie Steedman is a second-year public relations student at Mount Royal University. Throughout her time in the public relations program, Steedman has found her passion in writing and strategic communications. Outside of class, Steedman is a marketing and communications executive on the MRU Residence Activities Council and volunteers her skills in graphic design and social media for a local MLA candidate. After she graduates, Steedman anticipates an exciting and fast-paced career in the field of public relations.
